Winter is FINALLY here...for a minute at least.
You gotta love good old Colorado. If you don't live here you might not know what I mean, but just keep on reading on.
It took until this past Thursday night, November 17th for the first snow of the season here in the Denver-Metro Area. I, like a lot of other people, was worried it might never snow here again, which made me very sad. Happily, it did snow and I got excited about Winter. Excited to sit by the fire and drink coffee. Excited for the kids to build snowmen (do you wanna build a snow man ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪...sorry...I couldn't help myself) and go sledding and snuggle on the couch with coco to warm up. All this thinking about Winter has me in an arctic mood when I sit down to sketch, so please, welcome Mr. Puffin to my merry band of animals.
And for the bit about loving Colorado: today, all the snow has melted and the high is 64 degrees. I hope it decides what season it is soon - it has been foiling my efforts to appropriately dress the girls for school for a solid month.
