Getting Started

November 10, 2016 by Brianna Bowlin

Yep...I am getting started...

That sounds like I have only been working on launching Pipit&Fox for a short time, when in reality, I have been "getting started" for the better part of this year. It all began with the quiet fox illustration, inspired by my adorable nephew. I just couldn't stop drawing. I added some friends for my son's modern woodland nursery (stayed tuned for a blog post on his room) and I just kept on drawing until I had an entire alphabet of animals.

While creating new illustrations, a bit of my personal life changed.

We moved houses in October 2015, welcomed the newest member of the family in April 2016 (after a preterm labor scare because the new little one had to have his own unique story) and I guess I have been going full speed ever since - 3 kids keep you busy (hahaha). When I was talking with Prince Charming about moving the family to a bigger house, neither of us had any idea that it would lead to changing virtually everything else in our lives. I mean - we were only planning on moving 20 minutes south of our current house. Turns out this one "little" change meant a new school, new pediatrician, new OBGYN (at 27 wks), new childcare (or lack there of), and a new car (which I must admit I love).

I guess I have been busy. It has been fun.

Long story short: even though I move at what seems like a snails pace working on Pipit&Fox, I love it and it gives me a welcome breath of fresh air in the middle of my daily race.

Welcome to my site. Please stop in to see new illustrations as often as I can create them.
